Elaine A. (Erickson) Wilson

December 2, 1940 - August 26, 2011

Elaine Wilson, 70, of Eagle Grove passed away Friday, August 26, 2011, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.

Funeral services for Elaine Wilson will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Holmes Lutheran Church in Holmes with Pastor Richard Taylor officiating.  Burial will be at Holmes Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 29, 2011, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Ewing Funeral Home, 602 North Main Street, in Clarion and will continue one hour prior to services at the church. 

Elaine Aletha, the daughter of Elmer S. and Agnes J. (Espeland) Erickson was born December 2, 1940 in Clarion. 

Elaine was united in marriage to Maurice Wilson on September 26, 1959 at Holmes Lutheran Church and to this union, two children were born.

Elaine loved to garden, and shared her produce with many friends and family members.  She hated to see anything go to waste.  She was also a lover of dogs, but most of all, Elaine enjoyed spending time at home with family and friends.

Elaine was baptized, confirmed, and married at Holmes Lutheran Church.

Elaine is survived by her husband, Maurice of Eagle Grove; her children Jona (Kenny) Lee and Jeff (Kim) Wilson, both of Eagle Grove; grandchildren Mandy, Adam, Jackie, Garett, Mitch (Nicole), and Melissa; great-grandchildren Gavin, Georgia, and Ella, with another, Kayden, on the way; her brother Stanley (Paula) Erickson of Clarion; and special niece Kathie Wilson and her children Danny and Ryan.

Elaine is preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Anita Maasdam.
