Beverly J. Hecox

Beverly J. Hecox, 77, of Maryville, MO, formerly of Clarion, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at a care center in LasVegas, NV.

The family will greet friends and relatives from 11:00AM - 1:00PM, Monday June 18, 2007 at the Ewing Dugger Helgeson Funeral Home, 602 North Main Street, Clarion, Iowa, 50525.   Inurnment will be at a later date.

Beverly was born in Clarion, Iowa, on April 7, 1930, to Harold K. and Marjorie Sumners. She married Keith Hecox on Aug. 21, 1951. They raised their family in Maryville. Keith survives her at home.

Beverly was a strong and amazing role model for her children and grandchildren, who will miss her with all their hearts.

She is survived by her children, Cristi (Mark) Leafstedt, Flagstaff, AZ; Kimberly (Billy) Kincade, Council Bluffs, IA; Dr. William (Lan) Hecox, Springfield, MO; Robert John Hecox, Kansas City MO; and Cathy (Robert) Jones, Henderson NV.

She was a loving grandmother to her grandchildren, who have so many wonderful memories of her, Eric Kincade, Jennifer (Mark) Brown, Brett Kincade, Jason VanGundy, Paul (Sarah) Leafstedt, Ashley Leafstedt, Travis Hecox, James Blankenship, Emilee Blankenship and Paige Jones; and great granddaughter, Arriah VanGundy. She also is survived by her brother, Roger (Margaret) Sumners; and numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Marilyn Melhuse.
