Obituary


DeWayne L. Knoll, 95, of Kanawha, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2003, at the Kanawha Community Home.

DeWayne Leo Knoll, the son of Arthur and Ethel (Wagner) Knoll, was born December 1, 1907, in Kanawha.  He grew up the Kanawha area where he attended a country school.

DeWayne was united in marriage with Anna Eenhuis on June 26, 1934, by Rev. D.H. Plesscher at the Kanawha Christian Reformed Church Parsonage.  The couple made their home in Kanawha, where DeWayne was in the trucking business and owned and operated Knoll's Produce in Kanawha.

DeWayne was a lifelong member of the Kanawha Christian Reformed Church where he served on the consistory and was a member of the Men's Society.  He enjoyed traveling to see his family, especially his grandchildren.  In his spare time, DeWayne enjoyed bowling, woodworking, and fishing.

DeWayne is survived by his wife of 68 years, Anna of Kanawha; son Marvin Knoll and his wife, Dolly of Willis, Texas; daughter Marlene Blankespoor and her husband, Harvey of Holland, Michigan; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother Clayton Knoll and his wife, Gertie of Mason City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant daughter, one great-grandson, and one infant brother.
