Gloria Eggert, 95, of Britt passed away Friday, June 9, 2000 at Westview Care Center in Britt. Gloria, the daughter of Walter and Chloe Bessie (Lewis) Benson was born January 25, 1905 in Morehouse, Missouri.  She received her education in Morehouse, and later moved with her family to Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  Gloria then moved to Chicago where she was employed by the Elevated Station for many years.  She also was employed for the Singer Sewing Machine Company for many years. Gloria was united in marriage to Joe Eggert in Chicago, Illinois in 1957.  Joe passed away in 1969, at which time Gloria moved to Missouri, Gloria moved to Britt in 1990, to be near her daughter. She was a loving mother and friend and shared her life with many. Gloria is survived by one daughter, Dottie Tegtmeter and her husband, Louis of Wesley; two grandsons Rick Tegtmeye and his wife Barb of Britt and Randy Tegtmeyer and his wife, Natalie of Blairsburg; four great-grandsons: Shane Tegtmeyer and his wife, Barb, Bradley Tegtmeyer and his wife, Kristy, Tyler Tegtmeyer and Bryce Tegtmeyer; three great-granddaughters: Betsy, Melissa and Jenna Tegtmeyer; three-great-great-granchildren; one niece and her family of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and several nephews.
