Jose A. Gomez, de 43 años, de Latimer, falleció el Viernes 28 de Septiembre del 2018.

Una misa de entierro cristiano para Jose se llevará a cabo a las 10:30 AM el Viernes 5 de Octubre del 2018 en la Iglesia Católica St. Francis Xavier , 1207 3^rd Street Northeast en Belmond.

La visita se llevará a cabo de 5:00 PM a 7:00 PM, con un servicio de Rosario y oracion comenzando a las 7:00 PM, el Jueves, 4 de Octubre del 2018 en la funeraria Ewing, 111 Luick’s Lane South en Belmond.

José Antonio Gómez-Grijalba, nació el 20 de mayo de 1975 en Reynosa, Tamaulipas de Andrés Gómez y María Teresa Grijalba.

José conoció a Genoveva Castillo a la edad de 13 años. Dos años después comenzaron a salir y desde entonces han compartido su vida juntos. Fueron bendecidos con tres hijas, Ana, María y Gabriela Gómez.

José y su familia hicieron de Latimer, Iowa, su hogar en el año de 1996. Aquí comenzó su primer trabajo trabajando para Iowa Select. Más tarde pasó a trabajar para Brandt Construction. Había estado trabajando para Drew durante los últimos veintidós años. José era la persona más trabajadora. Se dedicó a su trabajo. Cuando no estaba en su trabajo normal, siempre estaba en casa haciendo trabajos secundarios. Esos trabajos incluían todo lo que podría pensar, como: reparaciones de automóviles, reparación de maquinaria, techos y plomería. Tenía mucho conocimiento y quería compartir y ayudar a otros sin pedir nada a cambio.

José fue amado por muchos. Siempre hizo un amigo donde quiera que iba. Tenía un gran corazón bondadoso. Su sarcasmo y su humor son lo que todo el mundo lo recuerda. Le encantaba cantar y bailar. Su mayor afición era ir a pescar. Lo que más alabó fue estar con su familia. Cada fin de semana era una reunión para disfrutar de la compañía de amigos y familiares en su hogar. José también adoraba a sus seis nietos.

A Jose le sobreviven su esposa Genoveva de Latimer, sus hijas Ana (Edwin Antunez) Gomez de Latimer y dos nietas, Yoselin y Aleyda. María (Daniel Ramírez) Gómez de Iowa Falls y cuatro nietos, Lizbeth, Melyssa y los gemelos Ruby y Daniel. Gabriela (Andrew Quiñones) Gómez de Fort Dodge. Su mamá María Teresa Grijalba. Asimismo, por los tres hermanos Joel Andrés Gómez, Miguel Ángel Gómez (Isabel), Juan Francisco Gómez (Blanca). Dos hermanas María Guadalupe De Pilar Gómez (Heriberto), María Susana Gómez (Hugo), y muchas más sobrinas y sobrinos.

Jose A. Gomez, 43, of Latimer passed away Friday, September 28, 2018.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Jose will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 1207 3^rd St Northeast in Belmond.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 4, 2018 with a Rosary and Scriptural Wake service beginning at 7:00 PM, on Thursday at Ewing Funeral Home, 111 Luick’s Lane South in Belmond.

Jose Antonio Gomez-Grijalba, was born on May 20, 1975 in Reynosa, Tamaulipas to Andres Gomez and Maria Teresa Grijalba.

Jose met Genoveva Castillo at the age of 13. Two years later they started dating and since then have shared their life together. They were blessed with three daughters, Ana, Maria, and Gabriela Gomez.

Jose and his family made Latimer, Iowa their home in the year of 1996. Here he started his first job working for Iowa Select. Later he moved on to working for Brandt Construction. He had been working for Drew for the past twenty-two years. Jose was the most hardworking person. He was devoted to his job. When he wasn’t at his normal job he was always at home doing side jobs. Those jobs included everything that you could think of such as: car repairs, fixing machinery, roofing, and plumbing. He had so much knowledge and wanted to share and help others without asking anything in return.

Jose was loved by many. He always made a friend everywhere he went. He had such a great kind heart. His sarcasm and his humor are what everyone remembers him for. He loved to sing and dance. His biggest hobby was going fishing. What he praised the most was being with his family. Every weekend was a get together to enjoy the company of friends and family at his home. Jose also adored his six grandkids.

Jose is survived by his wife Genoveva of Latimer, daughters Ana (Edwin Antunez) Gomez of Latimer and two grandkids, Yoselin and Aleyda. Maria (Daniel Ramirez) Gomez of Iowa Falls and four grandkids, Lizbeth, Melyssa, and twins Ruby and Daniel. Gabriela (Andrew Quinones) Gomez of Fort Dodge. His mom Maria Teresa Grijalba. Also, by three brothers Joel Andres Gomez, Miguel Angel Gomez (Isabel), Juan Francisco Gomez (Blanca). Two sisters Maria Guadalupe De Pillar Gomez (Heriberto), Maria Susana Gomez (Hugo), and many more nieces and nephews.
