Judith A. (Clausen) Brandt

Judith A. (Clausen) Brandt, 77, of Clarion passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at her home.

Memorial services for Judy Brandt will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at First Lutheran Church, 420 First Street North West in Clarion, with Pastor Grant Woodley officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, July 11, 2016 at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East in Clarion, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.

Judith Ann Clausen was born on July 30, 1938 to Jacob and Ann (Davis) Clausen in Duncombe, Iowa. She attended Duncombe High School with the class of 1956.

Judy was united in marriage to Morris Brandt in Albert Lea, Minnesota in 1954. To this union, five children were born. Morrie and Judy made their home on a farm outside of Clarion.

She was passionate and dedicated to her family and the farm, making sure everyone had what they needed to complete chores and projects, and making sure everyone was well taken care of.

Judy loved spending holidays and Sunday afternoons with her family, whether it was a landscaping project, summer BBQs, or playing a competitive game of croquet. The family will always remember their 50th Anniversary weekend in Kansas City.

Judy is survived by her husband Morrie Brandt of 62 years; children Mary Ann Brandt, Jane (Lynn) Fisher, Jeree Olson, Mitchell (Deb) Brandt, and Marty (Wendy) Brandt; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister Dorothy O’Brien; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, grandson Josh Olson, four brothers and seven sisters.
