Obituary


Lois Lorraine Adreon, 66, of Britt passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2001 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

Lois, the daughter of James and Elizabeth Marie (Freerkson) Shelton, was born December 30, 1934 at Kanawha, Iowa.  She attended Kanawha High School and then Britt High School where she graduated with the class of 1952.  Following graduation Lois was employed as a clerk in a local grocery store.

Lois was united in marriage with Dayton Adreon on August 30, 1952 in Britt.  The couple made their home in Norfolk, Virginia while Dayton's discharge, they lived in Mason City and Northwood.  In 1955, Lois and Dayton moved to Britt where they have since resided.  Most recently Lois was employed as a bookkeeper with Fedders Healthmart.

Lois was a member of the United Methodist Church in Britt.  She enjoyed reading, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren, sisters, and brother.

Lois is survived by her husband, Dayton of Britt; three daughters: Robin Howe and her husband, John of Garner, Kim Grant and her husband, Tom of Britt and Darcy Eisenman and her husband, Mark of Britt; son-in-law Max Studer of Garner; ten grandchildren; one great-granchildren; three sisters: Helen Brunes and her husband, Stanton of Goodell, Marjorie Clark of Mason City, Carole Taylor of Mason City; and one brother, James Shelton of Cedar Falls.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Tracy, one grandson, Michael, and one sister, Dorothy.
