Obituary
Marie Henrietta (Bergman) Kingsbury of Britt, formerly of Crystal Lake, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt.
A Memorial Service for Marie Kingsbury will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 13, 2015, at Ewing Funeral Chapel, 178 Center Street West in Britt with Reverend Robert Snitzer officiating. Burial will take place at Crystal Township Cemetery in Crystal Lake at a later date.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Monday.
Marie, the daughter of Henry August and Mary (Schmid) Bergman, was born December 2, 1919, on a farm in Linden Township, Winnebago County northwest of Crystal Lake. Marie worked as an Avon representative and at Great-Western Products in Forest City, Iowa.
She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Crystal Lake and the Ladies Aid for many years. She loved to go shopping and out to eat with friends
Marie is survived by two sons, Darrell (Betty) Kingsbury of Jonesville, Texas and Paul (Julie) Kingsbury of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota and a sister, Esther Eller of Marshalltown, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Marlene in 1998; husband, Walter in 2003; sisters, Martha Riggle, Louise Meyer, Ethel Homes and Florence Knapper; brothers, Walter “Pat” Bergman and Melvin “Mike” Bergman and many nieces and nephews.
