Marlys J. (Eliason) Hummel

Marlys (Eliason) Hummel, 63, of Hampton formerly of Kanawha, passed away Friday, August 9, 2013 at Hospice of North Iowa in Mason City.

Funeral services for Marlys Hummel will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Ewing Funeral Home, 118 East Second Street, in Kanawha with Pastor Char White and Pastor Geoffrey White officiating.  Burial will be at Amsterdam Township Cemetery in Kanawha.

Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral service at the funeral home on Tuesday. 

Marlys Jean, daughter of Clifford and Mary (Lange) Eliason was born October 31, 1949 in Belmond, Iowa.  She received her education and graduated from Kanawha High School.

Marlys lived in various communities in north Iowa where she was employed doing sales work.

Marlys is survived by her brother Raymond (Linda) Eliason of Mason City, and sister Carol Wessels of Rockwell, along with many nieces and nephews.

Marlys was preceded in death by her parents, and an infant daughter Jan Marie Barret.
