Paula K. Busse-Barnett

Paula K. Busse-Barnett, 68, of Clarion passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at her home in Clarion.

Memorial graveside services for Paula K. Busse-Barnett will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion with Pastor Rich Taylor officiating.

Paula was born January 8, 1948 to Wilbert and Arletta (Leege) Busse in Waverly, Iowa. She graduated from Clarion High School in 1966 and attended Eagle Grove Junior College for 2 years.

Paula later relocated to California where she later met husband Bill in 1981. The couple was married at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa and has made their home in Clarion since 2004.

Paula worked for Beckman Instruments in accounting for over 30 years until she was downsized. She had a few jobs in Clarion, including working at the depot and the fitness center before retiring in 2013.

Paula loved listening to music (especially Adele) and reading Western novels. She enjoyed collecting Native American art and jewelry and she and Bill loved camping and being outdoors.

Paula was previously a member of First Lutheran Church in Clarion and later attended services and Bible studies at the Dwelling Place.

Paula was the sweetest lady you would ever meet, with a heart as big as outdoors. She will be remembered for her smile and the way it could light up a room.

Paula is survived by her husband and worster half, Bill Barnett of Clarion; cousin Mildred Burgmann and family of Waverly, Iowa; her beloved Dachshund Buddy, along with some of the best friends and neighbors anyone could ask for.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Charlotte Busse.
