Richard W. Hill

Richard Wayne Hill, 74, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Kossuth Regional Health Center.

Visitation for Richard Hill will be held 4:30 to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East in Clarion.

Richard was born on December 6, 1943 in Canoga Park, California to Walton and Jean Hill. He was the tenth of twelve children.

He married Carrol Ray on December 28, 1963 and they had two daughters, Deanna (Hill) Baber and Jodie (Hill) Rath.

Rich worked construction most of his professional life and owned Hill Construction with his brother Walt after receiving his general contractor license.

Rich loved hunting and fishing. In 2005, Rich left the hustle and bustle of California to retire in Clarion, Iowa. He drove truck during his retirement for John Marshall and Kenny Lee.

His smile and love will be missed by many. Because of the victory of Christ, death for Rich was a departure for home and means being in the presence of the Lord as well as in the presence of other believing loved ones.

Left to cherish his memory are his children Deanna (Scott) Baber and Jodie (Scott) Rath; grandchildren Cord Baber, Cole Baber, Chase Harker, Chance Harker, Kennedy Lee, Maddison Rath, and Alex Rath; brother Walt (Barbara) Hill; sister-in-law Jane Hill; and many nieces and nephews.
