Thomas Martin Revland was born on May 3, 1944 to Roy and Gertrude (Harmdierks) Revland.  Tom grew up and received his education in the Britt area.

After school he worked for Kerns Implement in Britt for a short time. He then moved to Goodell, Iowa in 1966 where he worked in Belmond at Triggs Manufacturing. After learning he had the skill set for metal machining he went back to work in Britt, working for many years at A&D Service setting up automatic screw machines and punch presses making intricate parts for pressure washers. Seeing a need to be his own boss, he then started his own welding & repair business in Goodell along with doing backhoe, light dirt moving, and custom carpentry work. He always had a gift of fabricating and repairing things, working with his hands, and seemed to be magical with anything mechanical. He recently fabricated his own Honda trike and logged over 2500 miles riding it throughout the summer.  He also lived in Belle Plaine, Minnesota. for numerous years where he worked in a tool and die shop, but moved back to the area to be close to family after his retirement in 2010.

Tom never knew a stranger and loved to talk to anyone that would listen.  As charming as Tom was, he was known to give friends and family a hard time, his friends and family expected nothing less.

He was married in 1965 to Dixie (Steenblock) Revland but later divorced. From this union Thomas is survived by his two children Brad (Sherrie) Revland of Thornton; Dani (Bob) Whitlow of Des Moines; grandchildren Dimitri Seals and Bryce Whitlow; along with many friends.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents.
