Sending my condolences to you all. I so admired the strength and character of my Aunt Barb. She has been a role model to me. I know she loved my family very much. She is one of a kind and will be missed. Sincerely, Cindy (Lynn) Edgington

To the Simmons Family, Our family is saddened to learn of your loss. We met Barb during Dick's final illness, and Barb took us and our family into her heart. Rick and Renie moved to Germany at the same time our daughter, Amy, and her husband, George, were transferred there by the Army. Barb arranged for the two couples to meet here in Clarion before they all shipped out. Rick and Renie became surrogate grandparents to Amy's twin babies! Our son, Dave, held a special place in Barb's heart; the feeling was reciprocal. For nearly 3 decades, Barb remembered our family's birthdays. Barb created a legacy of love - through her kindness, and through each of you, her family members. I walked with Barb through her bereavement journey after Dick died, and I know she is overjoyed to be reunited with him. Their bond was never broken. May she rest in peace, and may you be comforted and blessed by the knowledge that each and every one of you comes from love.

Doris & family I enjoyed working with your Mom at Iowa Speciality Hospital. She had high principles which we tried to convey to our high school staff - sometimes succeeding, sometimes not but we at least knew we tried! What a special lady.

The loss is immeasurable, however so is the love left behind. I will always have fond memories of Barb and whenever I shall think of her a smile will warm my heart. May precious loving memories bring you comfort for today, strength for tomorrow and peace in the days ahead. Numbers 6:24-26 " The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace."

To Barb's Families: my sincerest sympathies are with you during this difficult time. Barb was a wonderful woman always brought me up when ever I felt down - with just the smile on her face - always asking "How are you today?" Oh how she loved her family and so very proud of you all!! May she rest in peace - I will miss you my friend!! Reita
