Carrol L. (Ray) Hill, 73, of Clarion, and formerly of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018. Visitation for Carrol Hill will be held from 4:30 to 6:00 PM on January 31, 2018 at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East in Clarion.   Carrol was born November 19, 1944 in Watonga, Oklahoma to Billie (Walter) and Lewis Ray. She married Richard Hill on December 28, 1963 and they had two daughters, Deanna (Hill) Baber and Jodie (Hill) Rath. Carrol was a VP and General Manager in the waste management and recycling industry her entire career.  In 2012, Carrol retired from the city of Fayetteville, Arkansas as General Manager, to move to Clarion, Iowa.  Her children and her grandchildren were her life.  She was such a giving and loving person, she wouldn’t just give you the shirt off her back, she would buy it for you in 10 colors.  Because of Christ’s sacrifice and victory over death, Carrol leaving this life means she is in the presence of the Lord and other believing loved ones.  Isaiah 43:25 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you.  I have called you by name.  You are mine.  Left to cherish her memory are her children Deanna (Scott) Baber and Jodie (Scott) Rath; grandchildren Cord Baber, Cole Baber, Alexandria Bates, Hannah Bates, Chase Harker, Chance Harker, Kennedy Lee, Maddison Rath, and Alex Rath; daughter-in-law Tania (Rodney) Bodart; stepson Shawn Bates; brothers Ralph (Linda) Ray; Gary (Arlene) Ray, sister Connie Ray; and many nieces and nephews.
