Agnes Marie, daughter of William and Kathleen (Kunkel) Becker, was born on July
14, 1950. Agnes grew up in the Algona area and graduated from Bishop Garrigan
High School in 1968.
On November 28, 1970, Agnes was united in marriage to Jerry Frank in St.
Benedict. They made their home outside of Wesley on the Frank Family farm, where
they raised their 5 children. Later, they made their home in Algona, in the
house of Agnes's parents. Agnes was a farm wife for many years. Once the kids
were older, she also worked at Care Center in Titonka, Lynns Farm in Britt, and
at Universal Manufacturing in Algona.
First and foremost, Agnes loved being a Mom and Grandma and was always thrilled
to spend time with her kids, talk to them on the phone, and use Zoom to see all
her kids at once!
Agnes was an active person and hosted many coffees over the years, and
especially loved being a gathering house! She spent many hours gardening,
sewing, quilting, and putting together puzzles.
She spent the majority of her time with her siblings and loved to bake, cook,
and can - which grew her collection of recipes and cookbooks! Agnes also enjoyed
watching the Hallmark Channel, HGTV, and Monk on TV.
Agnes is survived by her children Jeri Kay Frank (Uriel Barillas) of Cedar
Rapids, Tracy (Kevin) Burge of Platte City, Missouri, Tonya Frank (Johnathan
Lemons) of Kansas City, Missouri, and Trent Frank of Arizona; grandchildren
Hunter Burge and Haley Burge; five sisters; two brothers; and many other family
and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William & Kathleen Becker; husband
Jerry; son Shane; brother-in-law Jim Simpson; and nephews Jesse Vincent and Cory
Lane.
