Albert Wolff, age 82, of Clarion, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2007 at
the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center in Marshalltown, Iowa.
Graveside services for Albert Wolff will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, October 1,
2007 at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion, with Pastor Bill Kem officiating.
Military rites will be provided by the Clarion American Legion and VFW.
Albert John Wolff, son of Otto and Lizzy (Borhrsen) Wolff, was born on July 3,
1925 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Albert grew up in Eagle Grove where he also attended
school.
On November 17, 1944, Albert enlisted in the Army and served until he was
honorably discharged on November 18, 1946.
Albert was united in marriage to Donna Wampler on July 26, 1947 in Fort Dodge,
Iowa. To this union they were blessed with four children.
Albert was a factory worker in Clarion and Webster City. He was also a member
of the Lutheran Church. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and hunting with
his brother-in-laws. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
In 1989, Albert moved to the Iowa Veteran's Home in Marshalltown, Iowa where he
still found time to do a little fishing.
Albert is survived by his wife, Donna of Clarion; one daughter, Dianne (John)
Gilliland of Humboldt; two sons, Scott (Sandy) Wolff of Clarion, and Kelly
(Jackie) Wolff of Goldfield; ten grandchildren, Mindy, Travis, Troy, Brandy,
Joel, Jacob, Jonathon, Breanna, Todd, and Stacey; many great-grandchildren; two
sisters, Betty Koob of Eagle Grove, and June Hunt of Clarion; and many nieces
and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Greg; two brothers; two
sisters; and two infant sisters, Dorothy and Ruby Rose.
