Alice E. Coyle, 75, of Humboldt, formerly of Kanawha, passed away Monday, April
30, 2007 at Humboldt Care Center North in Humboldt.
Funeral services for Alice Coyle will be held Thursday, May 3, 2007 at 10:30
a.m. at United Methodist Church in Kanawha with Rev. Cynthia Morrison
officiating. Burial will be in Amsterdam Township Cemetery near Kanawha.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2007 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at
Ewing Dugger Funeral Home in Kanawha and one hour prior to services at the
church.
Alice E. Coyle, the daughter of Ludvig M. and Laura B. (Opheim) Olsen was born
February 23, 1932 in Sioux City, Iowa. She graduated from Bode High School in
1949. She was united in marriage with Bernard L. Coyle on June 5, 1949 at Bode,
Iowa. They lived in the Bode area until moving to LuVerne in 1958. In 1977 they
moved from LuVerne to Kanawha. Bernard passed away in 1990. Alice moved to the
Humboldt Homes in 2000.
Survivors include her three daughters: Laurie (Mike) Stripling of Britt; Michele
(Paul) Trauger of Livermore; Becky (Denny) Vaudt of Dakota City; her two sons:
Bruce (Sue) Coyle of Pella and David (Sandy) Coyle of LuVerne; twelve
grandchildren: Jodi Evans of Britt; Sara (Chad) Lang of Kanawha; Michael
Stripling of Britt; Micheline (Jeremy) Oleson of Des Moines; Alicia (Jeff)
Knight of Pleasant Hill; Brandon Trauger of Livermore; Wendy (Corey) Long of
Cambridge; Chad (Melissa) Vaudt of Humboldt; Jasmine (Travis) Eisenbarth of New
Sharon; Jerad Coyle and fiancée Amber Goodell of Humboldt; Justin Coyle of
LuVerne; and Lindsay Coyle of LuVerne; and thirteen great-grandchildren: Blake
Evans, Calvin and Hayden Lang, Austin and Carter Knight, Chandler and Gavin
Oleson, Mikayla and Kennedy Long, Jaycie and Dylan Vaudt, Grace and Elizabeth
Eisenbarth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bernard, and aunt Esther
Opheim.
