Obituary
Alice M. MacVey, 91, passed away Saturday, May 31, 1997, at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt, Iowa.
Alice, the daughter of Lars and Marie (Hauge) Larson, was born October 11, 1905, in Bode, Iowa. She attended and graduated from Bode Schools. Alice worked for a time at the Post Office.
On June 15, 1930, she was united in marriage with Earl F. MacVey, at her parent's home in Bode. The couple made their home in Britt.
Alice, was a member of the United Methodist Church since 1946, the United Methodist Women and the Kings Daughters. She was also a member of the FAN Travel Trailer Club. She enjoyed wintering in Arizona, gardening and tending her home.
Alice is survived by two sons: Curtis and his wife, Eileen of Ankeny; Paul and his wife, Jackie of Ames; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Earl, three brothers and an infant sister.
