Obituary


Amah H. Hall passed peacefully of natural causes on Friday, January 1, 201,6 at the I.O.O.F Home in Mason City.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Dugger Funeral Home in Belmond. Burial took place at Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City.

Amah Hall was born on February 4, 1925 in Rowan, IA to James and Amanda (Andrews) Smith. She started her schooling in Dows and graduated from Rowan School in 1942. She worked at the Depot cafe in Mason City and married E. "Bud" Hall on September 9, 1950. They lived in Central Heights and enjoyed fishing at Clear Lake, taking car rides, and taking trips on the train. After her husband's death, she enjoyed taking her rides on the bus. She shared many happy times at Woody's Bingo and VFW bingo.

Amah is survived by her brother Marvin Smith of Rowan, her sister-in-law Lila Smith of Belmond, and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, husband, brothers Floyd, Edward, Don, Bruce, and sister Gail Rink.
