Angela Lynn Draeger was born on March 28, 1981, to Rhonda (Schaumburg) and David.  She was baptized into the Lutheran faith on Easter Sunday, April 19, 1981, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Woolstock, Iowa.  She was also confirmed on June 4, 1995, at St. Peter’s.  Angie graduated from Clarion-Goldfield High School in 1999.  She attended Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo for two years and graduated on May 13, 2001, with her AA.  She then attended UNI in Cedar Falls, Iowa and graduated with a BA in Criminology, Sociology, and Psychology.  She graduated with her Masters in Mental Health Counseling on May 9, 2009, became nationally certified on August 11, 2010, and certified with the State of Iowa Board on September 3, 2010.

While going to college Angie had many jobs working at Warren Trucking, Casey’s, and Factory Card Outlet.  She made many life time friends.

After graduation she began working for Lutheran Family Services as a caseworker and in 2010, transferred to Bremwood Juvenile Delinquent Home in Waverly.  She recently got promoted to being a Licensed Therapist (LPHA). She loved working with her kids, especially as she called them “the naughty ones”. She also taught Psychology classes through Hawkeye Community College.

Angie had a very outgoing personality and would help anyone that needed it. As a final act of caring, Angie donated her organs to others that were in need. She was very good at her job. She left a lasting impression on everybody she met, especially when she told her stories.

When she wasn’t working she spent her free time with friends and family. She loved to play darts, poker, volleyball, golf, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. She loved spending time with her sister, Megan, her favorite four cousins, Samantha and Alexandra Johnson, Danielle Scheffel and Randi Jo Schaumburg and her best friend, Holly Jo.

Angie is survived by her mom, Rhonda; sister, Megan; grandparents, Barbara and LeRoy Schaumburg; Uncle Randy (Marilyn) Schaumburg, Aunt LeAnn (Keith) Johnson, Aunt Marge (Dennis) Kreiger; cousins, Danielle (Scott) Scheffel, Spencer Scheffel, Samantha Johnson, Alexandra Johnson and Randi Jo Schaumburg and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends too numerous to mention.
