Anne Marie Ray, 87, of Britt, Iowa passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2000 at Westview Care Center in Britt, Iowa. Anne Marie, the daughter of William and Rite (Harrington) Larson, was born near Crystal Lake, Iowa on August 20, 1912.  She grew up in Crystal Lake area where she attended country school.  Anne Marie's mother passed away in 1920.  Her mother's sister, Mary, came to help raise the four children.  Mary and William were married in 1928.  Anne Marie graduated from Britt High School in 1930.  Following her graduation from high school, she attended nursing school at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.  After nursing school she worked in Chicago.  Following her retirement, she returned to Britt where she has since made her home. Anne Marie was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Britt.  She enjoyed painting, ceramics, and playing bridge. Anne Marie is survived by one sister, Charlotte Madole of Webster City; one brother, William J. Larson of Carefree, Arizona, and six nieces, nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Loretta (Larson) Corkill.
