Obituary
Archie Nelson, 86, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 1992 at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt, Iowa.
Archie, the son of Lyman and Charlette (Colville) Nelson, was born January 16, 1906 at Kanawha, Iowa, where he received his education. He then attended the Barber College at Cedar Rapids. In 1922, he began barbering in Kanawha.
On September 19, 1933, Archie was united in marriage with Bonnita Morgan. The couple established their home and barbering business in Kanawha and he continued his work until 1987.
Archie was a member of the United Methodist Church in Kanawha.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnita Nelson of Kanawha, Iowa; one son, Donald Nelson and his wife, Sue of Des Moines, Iowa; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers: Donald Nelson of San Bernardino, California; Oliver Nelson of Columbus, Ohio; Bernard Nelson of Fontana, California.
