Archie M. Nodland, 90, of Clarion passed away Monday, January 14, 2013 at Iowa Specialty Hospital – Clarion. Funeral services for Archie Nodland will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 10:30 AM at First Lutheran Church, 420 1st Street North West in Clarion with Pastor Ron Nelson officiating.  Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove.   Visitation will be held Friday, January 18, 2013 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Ewing Funeral Home, 602 North Main Street in Clarion and continue one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Archie M. Nodland was born July 28, 1922 in Eagle Grove, Iowa, to Arthur T. and Anna Marie (Walker) Nodland.  The family made their home on the family farm north of Holmes. Archie attended country school and Eagle Grove high school.  He farmed in Lake Township in Wright County until his retirement in 1995. Archie was a member of First Lutheran Church in Clarion. Archie is survived by his brother Burdette Nodland of Ankeny; nieces and nephews Beverly (Mike) Carr of Carson, Iowa, Michael (Marcia) Nodland of Leavenworth, Kansas, Anna (Roger) Gloor of Kansas City, Missouri, Carol (Alan) Clason of Paris, France, and Richard (Tamara) Nodland of Minneapolis, Minnesota, along with 16 great nieces and nephews, and numerous great-great nieces and nephews. Archie was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur T. Nodland in 1950 and Anna Marie Nodland in 1999, and his sister-in-law Darlene in 2011.
