Arleen F. Nagell, 66, of Jewell, passed away Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Clarion Wellness and Rehabilitation Center. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Evergreen Cemetery in Jewell with Pastor Mark Peterson officiating. Arleen's family will host a Celebration of Life held from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Fuel, 223 North Main Street in Clarion. Arleen Frances, daughter of LeRoy and Mary Ann (Smedley) Lopeman, was born on September 20, 1953 in Chanute, Kansas. Arleen grew up in Kansas before her family moved to Ames. On January 29, 1972, Arleen was united in marriage to Gary Nagell in Ames. The couple was blessed with two daughters, Arleen and Kammy. Arleen enjoyed crocheting in her spare time and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. Family was most important to her and she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Arleen is survived by her husband Gary of Jewell; two daughters Arleen (Eddie) Mullenax of Clarion and Kammy (Curt) Nelson of Clarion; six grandchildren Trent (Andrea) Boles, Samantha (Cody) Edelen, Amanda Dilley, Josephine Nelson, Kaylynn Nelson, and Skyler Nelson; five great-grandchildren; sister Phyllis (Rick) Taylor; brother-in-law Bill Tucker; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and three sisters Nadine Tucker, Joann Dickerson, and Mary Ann Lopeman.
