Obituary
Arlene R. Peteson, 81, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 1998 at the North Iowa Mercy Health Center in Mason City, Iowa. At the time of her death she was making her home with her sister Dorothy Lee.
Arlene, the daughter of Walter and Bessie (Mallory) Lee, was born July 2, 1917, at Britt, Iowa. She received her education from the Britt Community Schools and later attended Britt Junior College. She was united in marriage with Raymond Peterson in 1937, at Mason City, Iowa. The couple made their home in Britt.
Arlene attended the Britt Congregational United Church of Christ in Britt, where she took part in the various ladies organizations. She was a member of the Britt American Legion Auxiliary, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. Arlene lived all her life in Britt, and was very interested in people, especially the residents of Britt.
Arlene is survived by her two sons: Bill and wife Gloria Peterson, Britt, IA; John Peterson of Los Angeles, CA; two sisters: Dorothy Lee, Britt, IA; Lucille Lattner, Panama City, FL; three grandchildren: Shawn and wife Tammy, Chris and Debbie; three great-grandchildren: Kelli, Chad, Jermey: many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond in 1988, son Robert in 1992, granddaughter Kim in 1993, one brother Horance W. Lee; three sisters: Perle R. Lee, Inez C. Lee Meyer, Peggy D. Lee.
