Arlene S. They were married for 56 years.

When Al returned from the service, they moved to Chicago. Arlene worked as receptionist for a clothing company while Al completed his photography training. Arlene was a home maker there until they moved to Forest City where the couple bought Elder's Studio and changed the name to the Allen Baker Studio. Allen and Arlene ran the studio for 10 years with Arlene working by Al’s side. Later she worked at many companies and offices in Forest City.

Al and Arlene built the house that they have lived in all these years. They would participate as a couple in square dancing and round dancing. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and would also attend their various activities. Arlene also enjoyed reading, gardening, and helping other people when they needed a helping hand.
