Obituary
Arthur Newman Nelson, 75, of Kanawha passed away Saturday, January 11, 2003, at Kanawha Community Home in Kanawha.
Art, the son of John J. and Anna (Jordanger) Nelson, was born March 27, 1927, on a farm near Corwith. He attended country school and then Kanawha High School. Following high school, Art farmed for a couple of years before enterting the military. He served as a corporal with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Returning to the Kanawha area, following his discharge, Art farmed until ill health forced him to retire in 1995. In 1996, he became a resident at the Kanawha Community Home.
Art enjoyed life on his farm and spending time with his sisters, nieces, and nephews.
Art is survived by two sisters: Marjorie Kilber of Northfield, Minnesota and Deloris Severson and her husband, Stan of St. Cloud, Minnesota; and many nieces and nephews.
Art was preceded in death by his parents and one brother-in-law, Earl Kilber.
