Audrey J. (Lindstrom) Olson

Audrey Jeanette (Lindstrom) Olson, 85, of Clarion passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at Careage of Clarion after her battle with heart and lung disease.

Funeral services for Audrey Olson, will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at First Lutheran Church, 420 1st Street North West in Clarion, with Pastor Ronald Nelson officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Ewing Funeral Home, 602 North Main Street, in Clarion and will continue one hour prior to services at the church.

Audrey Jeanette Lindstrom was born on August 19, 1926, in Clarion, to Harold and Bessie Lindstrom. She graduated from Clarion High School in 1944. On March 4, 1945, she married Clarence Olson of Belmond. To this union were born two sons, Philip and Paul and two daughters, Janet and Jannel. Audrey was active in her church until her health kept her from donating the goodies she made so well.

Audrey enjoyed being with her family and friends. Quilting and handwork were her passion. A quilt was made for every child and grandchild for a keepsake. Cooking her Norwegian “kumla” and goodies was a favorite for her birthday gatherings. She also was very good at giving “her” advice to all.

Audrey is survived by her children, Paul Olson of Woolstock, Janet (Roger) Severson of Hubbard, Jannel (Russ) Stark of Clarion; daughter-in-law, Jeannie Olson of Clarion; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and brothers, Larry (Jean) Lindstrom and Jerry (Sandy) Lindstrom of Clarion.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; parents, Harold and Bessie; son, Phillip; great-grandson, Eric Watts; brothers, Harold Jr. and Donald and a sister, Barbara.
