Audrey E. Sisson, 89, formerly of Goldfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 15, 2019, surrounded by her husband and children. A memorial visitation for Audrey Sisson will be held from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM on Sunday, November 17, 2019, at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East in Clarion. Audrey was born on October 25, 1930 in Castana, Iowa to Warren and Evelyn Horner Troth. She graduated from Castana High School in 1948. She married her high school sweetheart at the First Christian Church in Onawa, Iowa, on June 25, 1948. Audrey drove school bus for 15 years for the Goldfield School District until she retired. She enjoyed her life to the fullest through simple pleasures; spending time with her husband Gayle and their ten children and spouses, her 30 grandkids, 56 great-grandkids, and 12 great-great-grandkids, along with baking and cooking. Audrey is survived by her husband of 71 years Gayle; her children Stephen (Janet) Sisson, Anita (David) Janssen, Patricia (Sam) Brauer, Beverly (Mike) Reiter, Alta (Steve) Linn, Cindy (Duane) Askvig, Kenny (Darcy) Sisson, Lori (Paul) Liebbe, and Jim (Carissa) Sisson, along with their families; and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Shirley Mae Troth, daughter Teresa Soesbe, granddaughter Angela Linn Holland, grandson Aaron Sisson, and two great-grandsons.
