Obituary
Auty Griggs, 98, of Fort Collins, Colorado formerly of Britt passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2006 in Golden Peaks Care Center in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Auty was born February 9, 1908 in Liberty, Kentucky and moved with her family to Britt, Iowa at the age of two. She married John Griggs in 1932 and they farmed northwest of Britt. After her husband's death in 1984, she lived in Britt until 1995 when she moved to Prairie View Retirement Home in Garner. She moved to Ft. Collins in 1998.
She is survived by daughters Patricia (Donald) Okland of Ft. Collins and Betty (Gordon) Fortier of Loveland, Colorado; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren; and sister Ruby Farris of Mason City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and three sisters.
