Betsy A. (Ansel) Mraz

Betsy Ann (Ansel) Mraz 51, of Clarion passed away Monday, March 5, 2012, in Clarion.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at St. John’s Catholic Church, 608 2nd Avenue NE in Clarion, with Reverend Nils Hernandez officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Clarion. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Ewing Funeral Home, 602 North Main Street, in Clarion with a Rosary service beginning at 7:00 PM.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church.

Betsy was born on November 16, 1960, in Elmhurst, IL. She was the second child of Raymond and Barbara (Andorf) Ansel.

Betsy is survived by her sons; Matthew and his wife, Lynne Mraz of Fairbanks, AK and William and his fiancée, Jessica Cook and their daughter, Scarlette of Nora Springs, IA; mother, Barbara Ansel of Clarion, IA; sister, Laurie (Herb) Schreur of Kanawha, IA; brothers, Joseph Ansel of Cedar Rapids, IA and Mark (Meridee) Ansel of Kanawha, IA; her sister of the heart, Darcy (Gary) Robb of Clarion, IA and Lynn Mraz. Along with numerous nieces and nephews and her dear friend and fishing buddy, Terry Peterson.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; father, Raymond Ansel and brother, Michael Ansel.
