Beverly J. Diemer, 88, of Britt, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Hancock County Health System in Britt. Memorial services for Beverly Diemer will be held on Monday, August 31, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church, 707 4th Street South West, in Britt with Pastor Robert Dodge officiating. Graveside services will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Britt. Visitation for Bev Diemer will be held prior to services at the church on Monday, August 31, 2020 from 9:30 – 11:00 AM. Ewing Funeral Chapel in Britt is assisting the family. Those in attendance will be asked to follow social distancing guidelines. Beverly J. (Noelting) Diemer was born June 21, 1932, the only child of Pearl and Dave Noelting. She attended Dumont High School and Iowa State Teacher's College. Bev taught elementary school in Ackley, Iowa, where she met her future husband, Duane Diemer. They were married August 24, 1952. Bev and Duane moved to Ames, Iowa where Duane attended Vet school. In 1956, they moved to Britt, Iowa and established his veterinary practice where Bev worked as a receptionist. Bev and Duane raised three children and were active members of the Britt community throughout their lives. Bev was a member of the United Methodist Church and Church Circle, Women's Club and volunteered as a Girl Scout Sponsor. She loved animals, playing cards, following sports, golfing, playing piano and spending time with family. Bev is survived by her children, Marsha (Mark) Meyer of Johnston, Jim (Renee) Diemer of Britt and Curt (Christa) Diemer of West Branch; eleven grandchildren, Lizzie, Dan, Allie, Nicole (Tyler), Aaron, Kristie, Jane (Brad), Rachel (Joe), Erika (Todd), Kara and Julia; seven great-grandchildren, Sloane, Lauren, Clara, Nora, Annie, Jack and Elle. Bev was preceded in death by her parents, husband Duane in 2013, and an infant daughter, Diane. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Family of Beverly Diemer, c/o Ewing Funeral Home, P.O.
