Obituary
Beverly K. Hiscocks, 54, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 1995 at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt, Iowa.
Beverly was born July 13, 1941 in Duncan, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond F. and Dorothy Marie (Trca) Kopacek. She attended and graduated from the Britt High School. While in high school she won the National High School Poetry Contest for a poem she wrote which was also published. On April 21, 1960 she was united in marriage with Jon Hiscocks at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Duncan, Iowa. The couple farmed in the Britt area. Beverly worked for Zrostlik Tire, was a secretary at the High School, Horstman Tire and the past 17 years worked for the insurance agency at the First State Bank. Beverly enjoyed watching sports especially ice skating. She was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church where she was very active. She was secretary of Executive Board from 1991 - present, secretary-treasurer of the Ladies Guild and sang in the church choir. She was also an active supporter of High School Sports. She especially enjoyed coffee time with family and friends at her kitchen table.
Survivors include her husband, Jon, her children: Barbara Waltzing and her husband, Doug of Belmond; Gary and his wife, Debbie of Algona; Mitchell and his wife, Dawn of Carroll; Joseph and his wife, Wendy of Britt; Dona;d and his wife, Molly of Britt; twelve grandchildren; four brothers and sisters: Bonnie Pals of Britt, Mary Ann Kopacek of Clear Lake, Tom Kopacek and his wife, Jenny of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Rev. Jerry Kopacek of Forest City.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
