Blanche Edna Knutson, 94, of Hampton, formerly of Britt, passed away Sunday, November 7, 1999 at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. Blanche, the daughter of Henry and Katherine (Raab) Wieland, was born December 23, 1904 in Britt.  She grew up in Britt, where she attended school, and graduated from Britt High School. Blanche was united in marriage with Phillip Wilson.  The couple lived in Livermore, Iowa and South Dakota.  Phillip passed away in 1964, at which time Blanche moved back to Britt.  Blanche was united in marriage with Clifford Knutson in 1973 at the United Methodist Church in Britt. Blanche was a member of the United Methodist Church in Britt.  She was also active in the Eastern Star.  Blanche enjoyed sewing, knitting, and making crafts. Blanche is survived by her husband, Clifford of Hampton; two grandchildren, Sandra Hansen of Aurora, Colorado, Brian Wilson of Minneapolis, Minnesota; daughter-in-law Frances Wilson of Boulder City, Nevada; two great-grandchildren, Josh Hansen of Charles City and Jacob Hansen of Sheldon. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Phillip; son, Daryl D. "Buck"; six sisters and five brothers.
