Obituary


Bonnie R. Osborne, 78, of Clarion, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2004, at the Wright Medical Center in Clarion, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, May 26, 2004, at the Clarion Church of Christ in Clarion with Pastor Tim Platt officiating.  Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2004 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Clarion Church of Christ, 414 N Main in Clarion.

Bonnie R. Osborne was born August 1, 1925 in Dows, Iowa to Luke and Alma (King) Boone.  She attended Dows High School and graduated in 1942.  On February 1, 1947 she was united in marriage to Wayne J. Osborne in Kansas City, Missouri.  This union was blessed with one child, Gloria.

Bonnie worked at the Paddock Steak House in Sioux City, Iowa for 14 years and owned several restaurants in Northern Iowa.  She enjoyed knitting booties, traveling, playing cards and playing Bingo at the Care Center.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Bonnie was a member of the Clarion Church of Christ and volunteered numerous hours to help with whatever she could for her Church.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Gloria Andersen and her husband Jim of Cherokee; her brother, Luke L. Boone of Maryville, Missouri; 3 sisters, Verla Lundahl, Bessie Ritter (twin sister) and Darlene Balsar all of Clarion; 2 granddaughters; 2 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne, in 1994; and her brother, Chessle Boone.
