Obituary
Brent Ray Malek, 18, of Ankeny, formerly of Britt, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2000 at his home in Ankeny, Iowa.
Brent, the son of Edwin and Sandy (Swaney) Malek was born February 8, 1982 in Britt, Iowa. He grew up in the Pella and Eagle Grove area where he attended school.
Brent enjoyed fishing, music, camping, and tinkering with his car. He also enjoyed paint ball competition.
Brent is survived by his parents: Sandy Malek of Ankeny and Edwin Malek and his wife, Elaine, of Otley; one sister Lacey of Otley; one brother Jamie and his wife, Shanna of Pella; maternal grandmother Rose Swaney of Britt; paternal grandparents, Ernest and Clara Malek of Britt, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Dale Swaney.
