Brian Crasper, 66, of Eagle Grove, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Unity Point Health – Allen Hospital in Waterloo.

Per Brian’s wishes no services will be held.

Brian Lee Crapser was born in Cherokee, Iowa, on Saturday, May 7, 1960, to Mike (Frank Michael) Crapser and Laura Lorraine (White) Crapser. He was the second of four children: Bruce, Brian, Kathy, and Brant.

Brian grew up in Sioux Rapids, where he attended high school. He had a lifelong love of animals and was affectionately known as an animal magnet. From tadpoles spilled in the house to stopping to save baby raccoons along the side of the road, Brian always had a soft spot for animals. He also had several beloved dogs and cats over the years, including Dudley, Emmett, Walter, Red, and Rollie.

Brian was great with his hands and could fix or build just about anything. He especially loved wrenching on cars. He later lived in Fort Dodge, where he was blessed with two children, Emily Ann, born in May 1987, and Nathan Lee, born in April 1993. Brian drove truck for many years with Oberger Freight and a few other trucking companies. Besides spending time with his kids, he loved riding his motorcycle. In the last few years, he also devoted his time to caring for his mother.

Brian was preceded in death by his father, Mike Crapser; his sisters-in-law, Kathy Crapser and Kendra Crapser; his brother-in-law, Dennis Patton; and his grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

Brian is survived by his children, Emily (Ryan) Halley and Nathan Crapser; his mother, Laura Crapser; his brothers, Bruce and Brant; his sister, Kathy; four nieces and nephews; four great-nieces and great-nephews; and many family members and friends who will miss him.
