Bruce E. Stofferan

Bruce E. Stofferan, 82, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away at his home on March 18, 2022.

Memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion.

Bruce Edward Stofferan was born on June 8, 1939 in Hospers, Iowa to Charles and Margaret Stofferan. He married Marjorie Mechem from Clarion, Iowa in 1962. They had two daughters, Michelle and Melissa. He passed away at home on March 18, 2022. Bruce grew up on a farm near Archer, Iowa. He attended Iowa State University and spent his working years in Agricultural Business Management in Lytton, Iowa and Truman, Minnesota. He was always active in his community and church and always sang in the choir. He was a 32nd Degree Mason. They retired to Mesa, Arizona in 2004. He enjoyed playing softball, hiking, playing games, reading and traveling. He completed his goal of seeing games in all the Major League Baseball Parks. The tickets for the new park in Arlington in 2020 were cancelled because of COVID. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Marjorie Brower and Gloria (Darrell) Ryan. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie, and daughters: Michelle (Jim) Mahowald of Fairbault, MN and Melissa (Cary) Grell of Carver, MN. Four grandchildren, of which he was very proud, Mark (Katie) Mahowald, Nicole Mahowald, Sabrina Grell and Kaylee Grell.
