Obituary
Calvin Heifner, 53, of Belmond passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015, at Iowa Specialty Hospital of Belmond.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday June 25, 2015, at the United Methodist Church in Belmond.
Calvin Dean, the son of Carrol and Fonda Bier Heifner was born on Nov. 17, 1961, in Britt. While growing up, Calvin lived in several places in northern Iowa, and attended elementary school in Buffalo Center and Titonka. The family settled in the Renwick area where, he attended high school and graduated in 1980 from Boone Valley High School in Renwick. After graduation Calvin lived in Humboldt and Forest City. In 1982, he moved to Belmond and started working for Eaton Corporation.
Calvin married Leslie Anderson on June 23, 1984. The couple made their home in Belmond and was blessed with three children, Cory, Brandon and Kirsten. Calvin enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle with Leslie. Calvin rode his bicycle everywhere, but mostly to work until back troubles prevented it . He enjoyed fishing, brewing his own home beer brew, smoking big fat cigars and shooting his gun.
Calvin is survived by the love of his life, Leslie, children, Cory and Betsy of Belmond, Brandon and Nicole of Belmond, Kirsten and Rudy of Belmond, four precious grandchildren, Cameron, Brody, Lyla, Callen, father, Carrol of Klemme, two brothers Galen of Wausau, Wisconsin, Lowell and Patti of Des Moines, special nieces and nephew Tommy, Tracy and Jessie and Willis and Charlene Anderson family.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Fonda in 2008, an infant sister, Twyla Rae, grandparents Clara and Warren Bier and Vincent and Ivy Heifner
