Calvin L. Perkins, 74, of Britt, Iowa, died Friday, November 10, 1995 at North Iowa Mercy Health Center in Mason City, Iowa. Calvin was born December 8, 1920 in rural Britt, the son of Harold and Gladys Brooks Perkins. Calvin married Loella Rotschaefer on November 19, 1939 in Forest City, Iowa.  To this union was born five sons, Eugene, Glen, Dennis, Alan and Michael. He was a World War II veteran.  After WWII he started Perkins Garage in Crystal Lake, Iowa and operated in that location until 1950.  He relocated his business to Britt where he operated until the time of his death. Calvin is survived by his wife, Loella; four sons, Glen and his wife, Margaret; Dennis and his wife, Linda; Alan and his wife, Marlys; Mike and his wife, Janice; five grandchildren, Tammy Caldwell and her husband, Gary; Brian Perkins and his wife, Amber; Brenda Perkins; Glen Perkins, Jr. and his wife, Allison; and Megan Perkins; three great-grandchildren, Jeremy Caldwell, Nico Perkins and Joshua Perkins; one brother, Roger and one sister, Carolyn Ostercamp. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, two brothers and one son.
