Carol JoAnn Thomas, 71, of Saginaw, Michigan and formerly of Belmond, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022. Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Ewing Funeral Home, 111 Luick's Lane South in Belmond. Carol was born in Iowa City on October 7, 1950 to Howard and Mable (Waddell) Roosa. She grew up in Webster City. Later in life, she moved to Belmond. On August 16, 1997, Carol married Steve Thomas, the love of her life. She enjoyed being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed drag racing, riding Harleys, camping, fishing, turkey hunting, boating on the Tennessee River, exploring the South, and the beach. She enjoyed bowling on league for many years. She loved gardening flowers and vegetables. Carol worked at Eaton and retired after 35 years. She also worked at TrueValue in Belmond. Carol is survived by her husband Steve of 25 years; three children Tracy (Jeff) Prohaska, Troi (Bud) Quandt; and Rick (Brandy) Loder; five grandkids Brandi, Ezra, Emily, Sami, and Regan.
