Carole (Soren) Christensen, 79, of Clarion passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 at the Clarion Wellness and Rehabilitation Center.

A memorial service for Carole Christensen will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East, in Clarion with Pastor Kim Lee officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral home on Friday.

Carole (Soren) Christensen, 79, of Clarion passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 at the Clarion Wellness and Rehabilitation Center. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral home on Friday. Carole Loraine, daughter of Elmer and Evelyn (Allen) Soren, was born on August 14, 1938 in Rowan. She graduated from Dows High School. She had worked a few occupations but retired from Kiefer Built in Kanawha after years of employment. In 1958, Carole married Merlyn Christensen. The couple was blessed with four children: Dan, Merlyn, LaVonne, and Steven. Carole was a hard worker who enjoyed remodeling her house. She had a sense of humor and she loved fishing. Carole enjoyed cooking, especially the fish she caught. Carole is survived by her children Dan (Becky) Christensen of Waterloo, Iowa, LaVonne (Trevor) Subblut of Reedsport, Oregon, Steven Christensen; six grandchildren Jenna Christensen, Anna Christensen, Nathaniel Christensen, Troy Schroder, Jackie Subblut, Thomas Subblut, and Tony Christensen. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leo Arthur; her  parents; her son Merlyn Christensen; and her brother Leonard Soren.
