Cathy A. Haavisto, 48, of Clarion and formerly of Waite Park, Minnesota, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021 at her home in Clarion. No services are planned at this time. A family service will be held at a later date. Cathy Ann, daughter of Donald Haavisto and Brenda (Myllyla) Haavisto, was born on July 7, 1973 in Buffalo, Minnesota. Cathy grew up and attended school in Annandale, Minnesota. After high school, Cathy moved to Waite Park, Minnesota where she worked at a factory, Walmart, and Menards. Cathy moved to Clarion four years ago to be closer to her sister and niece. Cathy loved to do puzzles and tending to her flower gardens. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with Wanda and Elaine. Cathy is survived by her father and step-mother Donald and Linda Haavisto; sister Wanda LaRue; brother Mark Haavisto; and niece Elaine. She is preceded in death by her mother Brenda Haavisto and grandparents.
