Cecil W. Lockhart Jr. was born July 10, 1949 to Cecil Lockhart Sr. and Maxine (Miller) Lockhart in Brushy, TX.  He attended school in Texas and stayed there for most of his teenage years.  Cecil and his first wife, Carol, then moved to the Ozarks where they were blessed with their daughter Sheila.

Cecil moved on to Kansas City to work for Taystee Bread.  While in the Kansas area he began working for Meyer’s Turf in Stillwell, where he met his wife Kim.  This marriage was blessed with a son, Jake.  Cecil was a Seed Supervisor at Meyer’s Turf with his very good friend Herb Avery.  He helped a friend open a tire business in Stillwell, but shortly after he and Kim found that Jim’s Tire Company in Clarion was hiring.

Cecil and Kim moved back to Clarion in 1994 with their son, Jake, and have lived here since this time.  Within the last three years, Cecil began working for the City of Clarion and loved his job very much.  He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, fixing old cars and pick-ups, golfing, getting together with the guys in his garage and spending time with people in general.

Cecil is survived by his wife, Kim; son, Jake; daughter, Sheila Trahan and her husband Todd of Mesquite, TX; 2 grandchildren, Justin and Taylor; mother, Maxine of Iowa City; and brother, Olin of Iowa City.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; father, Cecil Sr.; brother, Jerry; and sister, Cynthia.
