In lieu of flowers and customary remembrances, we strongly suggest memorial
contributions be made to Chuck's family.
Charles Eugene Myers, the son of Oscar and Jeanne (Trebil) Myers was born
December 4, 1970 in Iowa City, Iowa. Chuck was raised and educated in Garner,
graduating from Garner-Hayfield High School with the Class of 1989. Following
high school, Chuck attended NIACC in Mason City.
Chuck was united in marriage to Angela Andersen on June 2, 2001 at the Little
Brown Church in Nashua. The couple were blessed with daughters Emily and Abby,
and made Clear Lake their home.
Chuck worked a variety of jobs over the years, most notably with IMT Transports
in Garner. More recently, he found his true calling as a realtor, working for
Hall Realty in Clear Lake. He also loved working security at the Surf Ballroom.
Chuck was very well known as a phenomenal guitarist, having played in a number
of local bands around north central Iowa, most recently in Definition of
Cruelty. He also enjoyed fishing and playing racquetball. His favorite pastime
was spending time with his family and raising his daughters.
Chuck was very proud of his faith in his Lord Jesus Christ. His faith and his
family were the pillars of his life. Chuck courageously battled ALS for the last
couple of years, and though he lost the battle, his faith taught him that Christ
has won the war.
Chuck will be remembered as a great husband and father. His compassion, along
with his sense of humor, acceptance of others and his soft spoken and polite
demeanor are treasured by family and friends alike.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Angela, and their daughters Emily and Abby, all
of Clear Lake; his sister Bobbie Wilson and her son Jade of Garner; his brother
Jerry (Erin) Myers and their sons McCain and Truman, all of Osage; along with
extended family members and friends.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents.
