Charlotte M. Claude, 76, of Corwith passed away Monday, January 13, 2020 at Westview Care Center in Britt, Iowa. Funeral services for Charlotte Claude will be held Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church 517 South East Elm Street in Corwith with Pastor Denise Lindemann officiating.  Burial will be in Corwith Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2020 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Ewing Funeral Chapel 178 Center Street West in Britt and continue one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Charlotte Maureen Claude, the daughter of Charles and Roseland (Adreon) Claude, was born on April 8, 1943 in Iowa City, Iowa. Charlotte grew up in Corwith and graduated from Corwith High School with the class of 1962. After high school, Charlotte lived with her parents and used her creativity weaving rugs. She enjoyed visiting with their neighbors, her yard full of cats, and flowers especially roses. Charlotte also loved reading the Bible to her mom daily. After her mother passed in 1999, Charlotte and Charlie continued to live in their home and learned to carry on the daily household chores together. In 2007, they moved into the nursing home and fit in right away. They enjoyed meeting new friends and telling stories. Charlotte was always happy and her smile will be missed. Charlotte is survived by her sister Phyllis (Marvin) Bosworth and her brother Terry (Tammy) Claude along with nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.
