Clara L. E. Wilson 93, of Hampton formerly of Latimer, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2006, at the Franklin General Hospital in Hampton.

Clara Louise Emma Tabatt Plagge Wilson was born November 5, 1912 to Emil and Caroline Tabatt in Latimer, Iowa. Clara was baptized into Christian faith on January 19, 1913 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

In 1916 Clara moved with her family to a farm near Sabin, Minnesota where she was received into full communion with Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod by the solemn rite of confirmation on April 1, 1928.

In 1939, Clara returned to Iowa to care for her grandmother. On June 30, 1941 she was united in marriage to Clarence William Plagge at the Marion Center Church. This union was blessed with four children: Darwin (Deb), Harlan (Charlotte), Judy (Mark), and Roy (Cindy). Clara enjoyed her church, sewing, crafts, baking and playing games with family and friends.

Clara continued to live in and near Latimer until September 6, 1981 when she was united in marriage to Walter W. Wilson at his farm home.

In December 2000, because of failing health, Clara entered the Franklin General Nursing Care Facility. Walter joined her there until his death in 2001. Clara enjoyed her visitors and friends until the time of her death on August 22, 2006.
