Obituary


Cleone Beatrice Carolson, 83, of Kanawha passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2001 at Kanawha Community Home in Kanawha.

Cleone, the daughter of Carl and Alice (Ansel) Foster, was born July 6, 1917 in Kanawha.  She attended Kanawha schools and graduated from Kanawha High School.  Cleone was a lifelong resident of Kanawha.

She was united in marriage with George Carlson on May 22, 1967 in Belmond, Iowa.

Cleone was employed at various grocery stores in Kanawha for many years.  She had many friends and enjoyed visiting with each and every one.  Her passion was sending card to everyone with notes or letters included.  Cleone loved all creatures' great and small and enjoyed feeding birds and outside cats.

Cleone was a member of the Kanawh Methodist Church.  At one time she was active in the Eastern Star, Rebekah Lodge, and Past Noble Grand Club.

Cleone is survived by one daughter, KeaRae Hope and her husband, Jerry of Renton, Washington; one son, Van Brummund and his wife, Donna of Mason City; grandchildren: Jodi Doyle and her sons Billy and Jimmy of Renton, Washington, Jeff Hope of Renton, Washington, Jason Brummund and his wife, Becky and their daughter Seirra of Mason City, Darcy Brummund of Mason City; two special cousins; Lloyd Foster and his wife, Janice of Eagle Grove, Ray Ansel and his wife, Barbara of Clarion, and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George and one sister Enid Hamilton.
