Obituary


Dale E. Eliason, 48, of Kanawha passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2000 at his home in Kanawha.

Dale the son of Donald and Viola (Eekhoff) Eliason was born August 22, 1951 in Belmond, Iowa. Dale grew up in Kanawha and attended Kanawha School.  While in high school Dale enjoyed playing football, he graduated from Kanawha High School in 1970.  Following high school, he was employed at Evan;s Construction for 12 years.  Dale then moved to Wyoming, where he was employed in the construction trade.  He was later employed by the city of Cowley, Wyoming, until ill health prevented him from working.  He was also a member of the Rodeo Club in Cowley, Wyoming.  Dale returned to Kanawha in September of 1999.

Dale was a confirmed member of the Kanawha Lutheran Church.  Dale's family was very important to him.  He enjoyed attending rodeos and was a country music fan.

Dale is survived by his mother, Viola of Kanawha; one sister Virginia Cockrell and her husband Larry of Kanawha; two brothers Dean Eliason and his wife, Jannean of Crystal Lake and Jeff Eliason and his wife Jamie of Kanawha; nephews Tony, Rich, Mike, Andy and Jacob; one niece Jordan; one great-niece Abby; great-nephews Adam, Steffen, and Justin; step-nieces Mandy and Heather, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Donald H. Eliason.
