Daniel Joseph Didio, 61, of Belmond, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City after a long illness. A Celebration of Daniel's Life will take place at a later date. Daniel was born on December 13, 1957, the youngest son of Carlyle (Cuddy) and Marian (Larson) Didio. He was a veteran of the Air Force and worked for Eaton Corporation, Printing Services, and the City of Belmond throughout his life. He also enjoyed his time as a dedicated volunteer with the Belmond Fire Department. Daniel is survived by his sisters, Sandra (Wayne) Stern of Rockford, Illinois, Mary Prewitt of Austin, Texas, and Geri (Louis) Daniels of Phoenix, Arizona; his brother Dennis (Kim) Didio of Belmond; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Chuck and sister-in-law Kathy Didio. DJ will always be remembered for his kind spirit and will be greatly missed. Daniel's family suggests memorial donations may be directed to the Belmond Volunteer Fire Department in his memory.
